1. The service
what am I doing(“the service”) is a project management platform for freelancers, small studios, and families. We help you keep your work, clients, projects, and life organised in one place. The service is operated from South Africa and made available globally via the web.
2. Your account
You need an account to use most of the service. You agree to give accurate information when signing up, to keep your password confidential, and to take responsibility for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at info@whatamidoing.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
Use the service for its intended purpose. Don’t:
- Break the law, infringe copyright, or harass anyone
- Upload malware, spam, or content you don’t have rights to
- Try to bypass security, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the platform
- Resell access without our written agreement
We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service. Where possible we’ll tell you what’s wrong and give you a chance to fix it first.
4. Your content, your data
You own the content you create on the service — workspaces, clients, projects, tasks, pages, files, and notes. By using the service you grant us only the permissions we need to host, back up, and display your content back to you and the people you choose to share it with.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it to train third-party models.
5. Service availability
The service is currently in beta. We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee specific availability levels. Features can change, and we may take parts of the service offline temporarily for maintenance or upgrades. We’ll give reasonable notice for planned downtime.
6. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Account settings. We can terminate accounts that breach these terms, are inactive for long periods, or where required by law. On termination, your content is removed from production systems within 30 days; backups are purged on their normal rotation.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, during free beta, is zero).
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material we’ll notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be heard in the courts of South Africa.
